e-books
How are electronic books changing the publishing world? What writer has not heard the rumors and speculations? There is one end of the spectrum that says, e-books are worthless, written by hackneyed writers rejected by the print publishers who wouldn't give their manuscripts a second glance. Then, on the other end of the spectrum, there is the 'hurrah, hurrah' about e-books. How they will replace paper books and everyone in the world will own a hand-held reader. Paper books will become relics of the past. . . . Of course, the
truth lies somewhere in between. There are some very good e-books
out there. No, e-books will never replace paper books, but the medium
is an alternative for both writers and readers. And what will the future
really bring? Only time will tell. E-BOOK SPOTLIGHT
Every month dowse will spotlight an e-book we find to be worthy. September:
