American Cyborg - Steel Warrior

A post-holocaust SF adventure from Boaz Davidson, who previously directed the first
four of those dreadful, Israeli-backed, Lemon Popsicle movies. The last
fertile woman on Earth has to transport a bottled human foetus out of a nuclear-
devastated, US city to safety, whilst being relentlessly pursued by a homicidal
man-machine. She's aided on her perilous journey by one of those tough-guy mercenary
types, the likes of which are always on hand to rescue endangered damsels in genre
thrillers such as this.
If you've seen The Ultimate Warrior, Van Damme's Cyborg, and
The Terminator, then you'll have no trouble at all figuring out the plotline
of this derivative nonsense. There is one unexpected twist in the familiar tale (that
I'll leave you to discover for yourselves) which caught me by surprise, as the rest
of the film is fairly dumb - but even this is an imitative detail commonplace in
such movies and, anyway, it has little bearing on the film's outcome.
Eventful, and good to look at, but lacking genuine excitement or suspense.
