DOWSE Guide to the
Movies
An unusual serial killer thriller with a keen, satirical edge, based on the novel by
Iain M. Banks (which I've not read), Complicity examines and then damns the
legacy of Thatcherism and the socio-political impact of Majorite policies, and 'New
Labour' rhetoric, by means of underdog news journalism that exposes corruption, leading
- as if quite naturally - from character assassination to actual murder. Tony Lee
originally published online in VideoVista #16, July 2000 issue Back to Movies on Dowse index.
