DOWSE Guide to the
Movies
The film, Go, is set over a 24 hour period in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. A
botched drug deal goes wrong and features three 'parties'. Sounds a bit odd, however,
the album's pretty damn good. It contains material from the likes of Natalie Imbruglia,
Fat Boy Slim, Leftfield, Apollo Four Forty, Eagle Eye Cherry, DJ Rap and Lionrock.
There's a total of fifteen tracks in all and has new stuff from No Doubt, their first
new recording for over two years, and Leftfield's 'Swords', which is their first
recording in four years! Because the music can be taken on its own merits, there's no
point in saying anything about it in context of the film (besides, I ain't seen it),
but as an album/compilation it isn't a bad offering at all. review by Dave W. Hughes
