What can you say? I'll shoot that record exec! Here we go again... To be fair, though,
this isn't quite the same kinda thing. It boldly states that this contains music from,
and inspired, by the motion picture! The majority of the material is 'scored' by none
other than Damon Alban, the Blur main man. There's a fleeting visit by Lowfinger, Bis,
Shack and Bryan Ferry. On one of the tracks, we actually get ol' Damon performing the
song! Is we lucky or what? Not sure if your regular Blur fan will find anything of
lasting merit here, although the music's good. It's just that Blur is Blur, and this
isn't. A sprightly ten tracks that differ in many ways, and, as always, not having
seen the film I can't appreciate (or tell) what is from the film or what's been
inspired by it. Different, I'll say that!
