DOWSE Guide to the
Movies
For a soundtrack album, this really can be played on its own merits as apart
from some new, original pieces, there's some cracking older, classic tracks.
How, and why, I'm not sure, but KC and The Sunshine Band's 'Shake Your Booty' is
on here, as is 'In A Gadda Da Vida' by Iron Butterfly. Joe Walsh contributes
his talents to three tracks, Dave Edmonds sings 'Chutes and Ladders' and Todd
Rundgren gives us 'We Gotta Get You A Woman'. The album concludes with the
Robocop Overture, played by the Delta City Orchestra. This last track is actually really
good and has plenty of atmosphere. Not quite a full bounty of playing time at under 40
minutes, but like I say, there's some good gear on here, especially the Walsh stuff. review by Dave W. Hughes
