Now this is the kind of OST album that doesn't need a film to sell it's music. Just
feast your eyes on the gear on here: Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, John Lennon, Van
Morrison, Tim Hardin, and Buffalo Springfield. Maybe many folks might reckon 13 is an
unlucky number, but not in this case. Thirteen tracks that basically add up to some
very, very tasty stuff. And, I aren't going to tell you which one of the Dylan tracks
is a new one - go check it out, and then see what other stuff's on here. Lennon's
Watching The Wheels, Morrison's Philosophers Stone, Tom Rush's No Regrets, Little
Willie John's Need Your Love So Bad and Neil Young's Old Man, with additional backing
by James Tayler and Linda Ronstadt. Forget the film, just get this album, it must
surely rate as one of the best (well, for old gits like me) this side of the big
bang.
